Calling all Cards

Will everyone who got her postcard from me leave me a comment or shoot me an email, pretty please? I'm curious to know if any made it, and if any arrived before I actually got back to Phoenix. THANKS!

Double BB Dreams

My anticipation of "soap date night" has even entered my dreamscape!! That IS a Denzel pic, yes, but it's meant to be Double BB [who won't pose for me like that].

What I Didn't Dream

Neda. I happened accidentally on the video of Neda Agha-Soltan bleeding to death, day before yesterday, and haven't stopped thinking about it, or her, since.

And on the front page of MSN today? The really important stuff.
'A Perfect Swimsuit for Every Body'
'Blockbuster or Box Office Bust' (Transformers)
'Spector Wants TV, iPod in his Prison Cell'

Wild Rain Journey

I dreamed you,
brown-eyed girl,
playing tag with Buddha-belly clouds --
one touch of your hand &
they bloomed into their colors,
bright flim-flam tones,
cheeky with rain-smeared smiles so
like those Kool-aid grins on our sons.
I dreamed you,
on the corner of
"meadow" & "pier",
hailing daisies for umbrella-taxis
& twirling a-la-Mary Poppins thru
the edges of rainbows draped like
swagged sheers at the sky's edge ...
lifted & lulled by the currents
of your own wild delight --
I dreamed you, dreamed you,
opening your palm to
scoop hands full
of cloud confetti &
drizzle it down
on me,
looking up at you, looking
suddenly through a kaleidoscope
of color,
& love.

No Woman No Cry

I listened to Bob Marley in my studio last evening, and I was playing with creating paisley prints out of my leftover paints on the palette. Anyway, this is an ORGANIZED assembly of the images I can remember from my dreams. Dreams, PLURAL -- they were all over the place and all I could do on my patio roost is scribble, quickly, into my journal the items and sensations I remembered. Most notable/immediate were the vintage camera and the turquoise guitar. The actual 'soundtrack' I can recall wasn't reggae/Bob at all -- it was Simon and Garfunkel's song, The Boxer ... ???

Mike's Hard Lemonade & Dreamscapes

Beth did it! It's Beth's fault! [woot! giggle!]

She recommended (no, not just 'recommended' -- HIGHLY recommended! And more than once! Matter o'fact, it's come up quite a LOT!) that I try the pomegranate-flavored Mike's Hard Lemonade. This is what Toni dreamed after two (or was it 3?) chilled pomegranate Mike's Hard Lemonades, served iced, in lime-salt-rimmed glasses. On the patio, after journal backgrounds, to the sound of Rickie Lee Jones on my boombox. Mmmm HMMMMM!! They go down like Kool-Aid in, oh, 2nd gear, just mellow & sweet & so so easy.

yea
some call me the gangstuh of love ... "

Grandma Lydia (June 15, 2009 Dreamscape)

Before bed, I cleaned some in my studio, including dusting my 'flock', so I know that's why there were so many birds in my dream. But I also dreamed of my Grandma Lydia, which is a rare thing for me -- how our mind does recall details - the way she moved in her garden, her hands in their rubber gloves weeding and snipping, her efficient no-nonsense gestures in the kitchen and oh! the meals she prepared! Her giggle, when we got her going ... My Lovely Mother's eyes crinkle just like HER mother's did, when she giggles. I always remember Grandma Lydia with flowers.

June 14, 2009 Dreamscape

I had the Toni Version Dream of Bo Derek running on the beach ... all soft focus and hazy and Anthropologie'd out and ... well ... it was LOVELY, in a dream, running thru sand, lollipops in a rainbow of colors, picnic baskets, a soundtrack of laughter, waves, and wind thru dune grass, sand pipers helping themselves to the croissants, pears so ripe the juice ran down my chin. I'd love to have a picnic with an assortment of birds, wouldn't you?

June 9, 2009 Dreamscape

I slept all of 12 and a half minutes last night, but when I did, at least I had a fun, from-my-childhood dream. Except I came into ownership of the red, high top Cons in my mid-30's, thanks to My Lovely Mother! Is anyone else as nuts about swinging as I am?

June 4, 2009 Dreamscape

Oh BLIMEY but this was a grand dream!! I was sitting on a quiet early morning at this lovely dressing table, with French doors open to a herringbone brick-patterned, very shabby and loved garden/patio. The birds kept coming in to perch on top of the mirror, singing and singing but there was something different about their melodies and the intense way they gazed at me. Finally, the blue jay and these two cardinals flew off and came back holding the edges of this 3-dimensional translucent sheet of hands, which they draped over the mirror in front of me. Then, as they took turns singing, the hands began to interpret for them, signing their invitation to me to come out on the patio, into the serene morning. The blue jay wanted me to see her nest, her perfect tiny round eggs (4 of them). The cardinals wanted to show off doing an air show, just a frolic of speed and current carousing. Now, I don't actually know sign language, just the alphabet, but in my dream I could speak it and yes! I joined the winged patio and sky adventures!!

Man! I so so so want to go back INTO that DREAM!!! I wanted to be Dr. Doolittle when I was a kid, really speak to animals and birds ... last night, in this dream, it happened! COME BACK!!! I want to play again, more, longer, forever!

June 3, 2009 Dreamscape

This dream was entirely inspired by Ms. Patty's post, here at A Diary Left Open. Since I also have had a recurring/continuation dream about a white jaguar, it all works together. The pendulums? not sure ... I was looking at homemade jewelry on ETSY late yesterday afternoon, but none of it looked like this. I'm CERTAIN, though, that I'm the human kneeling before the approach of the jaguar.

Speaking of that jewelry, look at THIS!!! The ETSY shop is called StudioSeven20 ... I like every piece posted there. I sent this photo to my family -- we're always tossing around Tiffany ads for kicks? So I said THIS beats the bejeezuz outta Tiffany's, and at an affordable $89, too? Cool cool cool!

June 2, 2009 Dreamscape

For the last two weeks, I've been pregnant in many of my dreams, but never given birth. My brain must be germinating some brilliant new idea!
Metronomes represent balance to me, pacing myself.

June 1, 2009 Dreamscape

Corridors. Corridors and cellars and wide, heavy wooden-planked doors, like barn doors. I know why -- whenever I've spent time in an empty living space, I have corridor dreams. Rooms seem elongated, echoey, extra roomy, when they're empty. My dream corridors aren't scary; they're 'come look, come see' corridors. As for the fish? Don't know, but I like it. And Toni categorically does NOT do karaoke, so not sure about that. The seed/string? Planting, arranging -- a new house? Surely. Salt dishes ... I was reading about those in a new Romantic Homes mag ...

May 26, 2009 Dreamscape

When you dream, do you ever have sensory reactions/sensations? In this dream, it was as if one of those patio mister systems ran throughout the entire dream, a soft soft sheen of water on my skin, on the clothes and parts of the dream, also coloring the FEEL of everything with a sweetly blurred white-blue. mmmmm.

May 21, 2009 Dreamscape

I was, I freely confess, a tad liquored up when I went to bed last night. I am, I freely admit, a tad hungover this a.m. Today is Friday (ick, ack, eesh) ... but it's raining and rained all night, beautiful fresh smells, charcoal and lavendar skies, and a 3-day weekend to anticipate. Things are good.
