Slam Dunk

Go Spartans! Go KEVIN! Waiting impatiently ... Camelback High School Class of 2009 - 250 graduates.
Mid-ceremony. My Male Children. Proof positive ... OH yea ... ... The Diploma. Our Graduate, My Daddy-O, My Oldest Male Child. Our Graduate, My Lovely Mother, My Oldest Male Child. Photo by Kevin's request -- he wanted a shot of his 'under-the-gown' outfit before we took him out for dinner. Kevin plays with the coasters - we used to play family games with these when they were little guys and we were waiting for our meals. The tradition stuck. Kevin talks economics; David answers back with sociology. Pretty intriguing dialogue, actually. Mom listens, basks in the knowledge that they're not just, only, beautiful jocks. David. Dimples. To Die For! And I know I've already mentioned how much I love it when Kevin gets giddy. Antics abound. Giddiness escalates. Etc., etc., etc.

I took twice this many photos -- these are the only ones that weren't black or shadowy. I have no idea what happened other than my battery was failing. None of my shots of Double BB with the boys came out, which would bother me enormously except My Lovely Mother and My Daddy-O also brought and used cameras ... and even yours truly is in quite a few of THEIR photos. I'll post when I get them in my grubby little paws! For now, I'm going to pop open a Bud Light, sit in the sprinkles outside, have a 'my BAAAABY!' Mom-cry, then get busy on the new Julification video.

When I say congratulations, I certainly mean it for your son who had the courage to complete what he started. My hope for him is that he will always want more and better for his life and have the courage to reach for it without stopping.

But, my congratulations truly goes to you and Double BB for being the dedicated and committed spirits who have tirelessly acted as beacons of rightness and love.

My heartfelt best wishes to your entire clan, my dear FuFu....

A proud day ~ did you blub a little bit? Such beautiful boys. I can't imagine what that day will be like when it's Rubin's turn.

Sounds like a good reason to be hung over today.

Lots of love to you all. xx

Oh, I missed that last bit about having a Mom-cry ~ think it had to be done though. Blessing of tears, as we celebrate/grieve/release what has passed.

Toni,

I am late to this post. Internet Explorer decided to deem your site (and Holly's) unworthy of opening, and refused to let me on here for a few days now.

At my wits end, I downloaded Mozilla today, and I AM BACK BABY!

Now, about those dimples...
you could drive a truck through them. Do you not literally have to beat the girls off them with some sort of stick? Muh goodness woman!

Congratulations to your new graduate. Congratulations to his parents. You have brought forth a contributing, productive, kind, intelligent member to the adult population.
My caps off to you both!
