Wild Horses

Recently, my buddy Patty over at River Bend Ranch posted this collage, something she made whilst TV viewing of an evening. I immediately emailed her and asked if I could buy a copy. The last time I saw my friend June, before she died of breast cancer, she asked me to sing this song to her. I managed to do it, even with both of us raining tears. Patty, the dear woman, made me two copies and simply mailed them out to me. I wanted to post this once I'd found a frame and mat and gotten this beautiful piece of art preserved.

Patty, I love it, the memory, the art that conjures June for me. Thank you from my deepest heart!

I was gonna' say something like that, but Beth beat me to it! So, I second it...and I have to say that if people think there are no more nice people in the world, willing to share what they have and all that comes with, it's most likely that they haven't read or done a blog!

Oh, True Dat, yes it was completely generous of her, but only because good things come back to good people... You, I mean you.

That is a touching picture to honor your friend's memory.

On April 6th, it was 10 years since I said goodbye to an old friend. Seems absurd to say that number. I take so much of her with me wherever I go.

She reminds me to enjoy it...
