Susan Boyle's First Recording (1999)

One of my Girlzz from an on-line group I belong to sent this link to our group ... I have tears just gliding down my face. Susan Boyle's first recording for a charity CD, done in 1999 -- "Cry Me A River" -- how did someone NOT PICK UP ON THIS WAY BACK THEN? But we have this overabundance of screeching, caterwauling cleavage-&-cute-laden so-called singers?

pffft. Go listen. Then come back and tell me how you like it.

She's finaly making the circuit. Just the other night, someone sent me the YouTube link to the audition part of the show and it was fabulous watching. I agree...this is an excellent example of how gifts remain in hiding because they don't come wrapped in a form that we recognize as party perfect.

Well, that's done it now ... if you've read my latest post (Temple of Silence) you'll know what I'm talking about. The hole in my chest is opening up even wider.
Think I'll take a bath and go to bed.
I'm astounded that all my bloggy friends across the pond are talking about this woman and I've never heard about her until I read it here!!
Love you, you lovely ladies.

Jebus...

That made me want to go dim the lights, pour some wine, put on my spiked heels, and dance slowly with all the ghosts from my past...

What a wonderful Cinderella story. She has an incredible gift and is willing to humbly share it with the world. I saw the youtube video with the judges and audience who rolled their eyes just before she sang. And then all she had to do was sing to shift their cynical hearts. All I have to say is "Wow."
