Tagged by Sarah - 10 Honest Things About Me

The effervescent & gorgeously pink-haired Ms. Sarah, at Que Sera, Sarah (Hen Fruit) has generously given me this Honest Scrap award. I'm to tag 10 folks and list 10 honest things about myself.

As I normally do, I'm going to pass on the tagging [except as below], but tell the ten honest things about myself.

1. I hate those sounds men make, clearing their throats, hawking up a big loogie or just dredging up sinus overflow!
2. The only time I'm ticklish, the only person who can tickle me, is my Daddy-O.
3. I wish I'd never stopped taking piano lessons.
4. I've never seen a single episode of: Desperate Housewives, ER, Gray's Anatomy, The Tonight Show, Survivor, Seinfeld, Saturday Night Live, Beverly Hills 90210, The Bachelor ... & many, many, many more.
5. I'm proud of #4, above. It should be stated, however, that I have seen my fair share of episodes of Friends, M*A*S*H, Oprah, and Top Chef. The series I wish would come out on DVD [in full, every episode of every season], is 30 Something, from the 80's. I LOVED that show!
6. I am seriously, horribly, & haplessly geographically challenged. I have to drive somewhere in ADVANCE of having to go there, in order to learn the visual route, landmarks, etc. I do NOT read maps. Oddly, this means I do really well finding my way in rural settings, because directions like 'turn left at the house with the green swing set in the front yard and laundry always drying on the line' is the kind of mental picture that works with my brain.
7. I think architects have maybe the most potentially FASCINATING and creative job of any on the planet.
8. You couldn't pay me enough money to make me jump out of an airplane (parachute) or off a bridge (bungee).
9. I'm still in love with Javier Bardem. Double BB knows it, that's how not ashamed I am!
10. I think Double BB and my two male children are singularly the best looking of all the male species on planet Earth. True story.

I'm tagging:
1. Holly, at Your Mother Knows but Won't Tell You cuz she's such a magnificent, tell-it-like-it-is writer and I'm in love with how her mind works & how she expresses that.
2. Lee, at Defining Me, because her art is so dead-on genuine, always gives me a kick in the happy pants! I can hardly wait for her posts.
3. Pam, at Stealing Shadows, because she feels like my visual journal Home Girl!!! I love her pages.

Thanks, Sarah!

I love you and hate you all at the same time right now! LOL Okay, look tomorrow. My Ten will be there for the entire world to read. I just put up today's post a few hours ago, so I'll let everyone catch up first. Late today because I fell down yesterday and whacked the crap out of my head. As if I weren't crazy enough as it was....

You are the not only person who wishes they would bring out the whole series of Thirty Something on DVD. I can't believe they haven't done it...you can get every episode of ALF for christ's sake!

great to know you sweetie...even better than I did !!
I also hate those noises SO MUCH....what is up with all that ?
oh and how I love javier....hands off toni, I saw him first !!!...did you see vicky christina barcelona ?
and if we ever go somewhere....you can drive, I'll give you the directions...because I'm one hell of a map reader and if you drop me in the middle of a forest...I can tell which way in north/south/east and west !!!! And we're going to have to stop somewhere where I can make you watch some of my TV shows for like 24 hours...and I miss 30 something, too....I loved that so much and miss all those characters !!!

YES!! What are those horrendous noises all about? Even worse if you get one who does them in his sleep too!
I don't watch much telly but Grey's and ER have always been firm favourites, so I can see we might fall out over that one, LOL ...

Out of the shows listed in #4 the only ones I've seen episodes of are Grey's Anatomy and Survivor. I just started watching Survivor this year and only because it's on right before my favorite show (CSI) and I don't currently have a working remote control for my TV. So to avoid getting up and interrupting whatever I'm reading/writing at time I just leave it on that channel. Grey's Anatomy is pretty good too, although it must not be too good because after watching it for 5-6 consecutive weeks I was able to drop it and not miss it. I don't know if the characters just weren't memorable or if it just wasn't my kinda show or what but oh well.

Happy Spring Toni!!

I just spent some time playing catch up and you certainly have been very busy. The journal prompts sound like they have been fun.

I didn't even know there were people in this world who haven't seen Seinfeld?!

I'm the same way when it comes to driving. Sometimes I actually will drive to places in advance for no reason other than to learn the route if it's for something important like a job interview.

"30 Something" was the edgiest and best show on TV at the time! I also loved "The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd", with Blair Brown (a pre-cursor to "Ally McBeal"), all quirky and way to the "left". The really good ones always get canned too soon!
