Au Revoir, Big A** Journal

U.N.C.L.E.!!! As of this afternoon, after work, I'm officially done with the Big A** journal. I ripped out the last 30 pages - will recycle them into my next handmade visual journal, as the paper holds up to abuse well enough for that! Exploding spine, impatience with the bulky, unwieldy size. For the first time in 33 years, I gave myself permission to STOP a journal before all the pages were filled. Man, I shoulda coulda woulda done it a lot sooner if I'd known what a doggone relief it would be. Eesh, blimey and shite! Next, I'm finishing my Big A** Purse journal, which was expelled from my purse because I, Toni, have downsized my purse to one which measures (are you ready for this?): 8 inches across, 5" tall, and about 2" thick. It houses my wallet, my keys, my clip-on sunglasses, 200 pens, and my cell phone. Also a relief, it has to be said. Hence, below, the last two layouts in the current written journal.Message In A Bottle. Magazine images, fabric paint. I may be a bird on land, but I'm mostly a mermaid YEARNING for the ocean. Scrap, deco tape, acrylic paint, images from Mary Mata and The Tuscan Rose, scan copy of a vintage post card.
