Sunday Art

This is the Get Well card I finished for an acquaintance who has really seen a run of misfortune, breaking her elbow TWICE in a fall, and some other things which have landed her in the hospital. She loves to garden, so I chose a garden theme to give her something GOOD for mental distraction (I hope). [I'm noticing that my home scanner doesn't get the good crisp detail of the one I use at work, and I am NOT liking that!]

Here is my card for Charles this week. This is so fun to do, I can't tell ya!
This canvas proceeds very slowly -- not a lot of dialogue going on. The ivy leaf is my second hand-carved stamp, and actually LOOKS like an ivy leaf! This is the woman who Double BB thinks looks like me. Since I modeled it after my blogging friend, Beth, I don't see myself in her, but Double BB insists I keep this one. That kind of changed entirely what I intended to do with it when I began.

Hey, Toni, I like your card for Charles. I did get one made and mailed to him last week, and even posted a photo of it to my new blog! When I had to confess to you that I didn't have a blog, I thought "and why not? Are you to lazy to find out how to do it?" So, one week ago, Remembrances of An Arkansas Stamper was born. It is much more of a remembrance sort of journal than of stamped art work, but it's still in it's infancy. Such as it is, it can be found at http://anarkansasstamper. blogspot.com.
